Rahab?

Out of all the people in Jericho, why did God choose Rahab to hide the spies? As I read the story again, I wondered if anyone could have taken two men into her home and deceitfully hidden them better than a prostitute. Sometimes, maybe more often than we think, God accomplishes His will by the gross, shameful, and dark things in this world. We must not think that God is limited to using only those of His creatures who merely appear to have it all together. What a pride squelcher is the story of Rahab!
