How can a young man keep his way pure?
By guarding it according to your word. -Psalm 119:9

There is no purity of life outside of God’s law.

God’s Word is where we must look for guidance and it’s prescription is what we must joyfully take.

young man: lad, servant, youth, tenderness of age

keep pure: to be clean, be pure, be clean, be justified, to cleanse, purify oneself, maintain purity of life

way: path, road, way of living, traveller, wayfarer, course of living and acting, mode, manner, condition, lot

guarding: keep, observe, give heed, protect, restrain, retain, treasure up (in memory), be on one’s guard, beware, refrain, attend to, to honor, care for

according to your word: speech, speaking, utterance, business, occupation, acts, matter, case, discourse, promise, precept, edict, oracle, cause, reason
